In March 2023, our team’s journey to Sierra Leone unveiled the realities of maternal health challenges. At the Aberdeen Women’s Center in Freetown, we witnessed the tireless dedication of staff and the resilience of mothers, despite limited resources. Our visit to Maisaka, a village in the Port Loko District, revealed the harsh truth of postpartum hemorrhage and its devastating impact on families.
